Nigeria yet to receive ventilators from US— Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Mohammed has confirmed that the Federal Government is yet to receive the ventilators promised by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The minister stated this at the daily briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, The Nation reports.
Recall, the United States President had earlier promised on the 28th of April during a telephone conversation with his Nigerian counterpart, President Muhammadu Buhari, to send some ventilators to the country. 
Mohammed said: “On when the ventilators promised by President Trump will arrive, to the best of my knowledge, they have not arrived.  When they do arrive it will be made known to the public.“
Mohammed however explained the role of the ministry in ensuring that the populace is sensitized on the best ways to curb and stop the spread of the virus. He said: "Jingles were produced for both the radio and television in various languages.
“The ministry so far produced video and radio jingles in the following areas: General information of COVID-19 Use of Face Masks; Burial protocol; Testimonials by COVID 19 survivors and Mass gathering.”
