Iran vs US: Prioritize Diplomacy

Iran and US have been called to prioritize diplomacy and allow peace to reign in the Middle East.

This statement was issued when Russia President  Vladimir Putin and Turkey President Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting in Istanbul Wednesday on the tension arouse in the Middle East.

Tension escalated in Middle East when US assassinated top Iran military leader, Soleimani and second in command to Iraqi Popular Mobilization Unit, Commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis with eight other companions last Friday. 

Sequel to this account, Iran has retaliated by launching missile on two Iraqi base housing US forces. Meanwhile, the Islamic State Revolutionary leader, Khomeini has said the recent attack by Tehran was just a 'slap on the face of US'.

Turkey and Russia have opposed a fresh war with a call on U.S. and Iran to prioritise diplomacy and de-escalate tensions.

Their joint call was issued in a statement after a meeting between Presidents Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin in Istanbul.
